Hi,

I know when looking for a pdf file online, you can type in google whatever you are looking for (eg: an engineering book) followed by filetype : pdf,or like here:

Well I don't know about pdf but http://kindlenationdaily.com/ is a useful tool to find free books. A lot of them don't even have DRM, meaning that you can easily convert them to the format of your choose.
