Post Sony eReader and Sony Software

Am I the onlyone with a Sony PRS 650 who has problems with the Reader Library freezing up and not being able to sync?
I am new here and really like the weight of the reader and would like to continue using it but the software does not work often and I don.t know what to do about my books. I would like to move hem but don't know how.

Welcome to MobileRead.

This is the Introduce Yourself Forum, where new members introduce themselves.

Why not take the time and courtesy to introduce yourself?

Then, after that, since you have a Sony, you should visit the......Sony Forum and post your question.

Hi Ginny.
I have the PRS-T1 and avoid the Sony Reader software because I've read of others having the same problem as you. I use Calibre and never have a problem with it freezing. If you are not familiar with it, basically it is a library management program, and yes you can download books, send them o your reader, etc. Just my preference when it comes to managing my books.

Hello from Ontario Canada

Sort of new here, great site.
Wet & snowy here right now.
Just starting using a Sony PRS-T1 a month back and love it. It's just really nice to be able to carry something the approx. same size as a paperback, yet have a bunch of books to read, instead of just one.
Have Fun everyone

Thank you for your reply. I have Calibre but my books go the Reader Library first. My son visited this weekend and gave me a few lessons. I like the size of the reader and hope to become more computer literate.
Wet, snowy and cold here in Minnesota
Good reading
