Kindle Direct Promotion

Hi All - just signed up with MR and am wondering if anyone has good ideas how to best use the five days of give away promotion for my new novel on Kindle Direct?

Personally, I would advise you to not use up all your free days at once, and schedule them to coincide with weekends or public holidays when people have more time to browse the KDP slushpile and decide if something really does look promising enough to add, much less potentially tell others about.

With the glut of KDP freebies, people are starting to get really picky about what they add to their accounts.

Also, you may want to "pre-announce" your e-book offering (be sure to read the guidelines in our Author Self-Promotion forum), a little in advance, telling people what your book is about and when and for how long it will be free, so that anyone who's interested who catches the notice late in the evening will be less likely to disappointed if your book is no longer free by the time they see it.
