How to add a book with multiple editions?

hi, guys.
I have a book with first and second editions, each corresponds to a pdf file. Now I just can't add all these two files to calibre, because one book is only allowed to add one file of each format. I don't think add these two as two different book is a good idea, for their high correlation.

2 different books is the proper way, If you use the Duplicates feature, you will need to disable it before adding the alternate edition.
The detect duplicates plugin has 'Ignore' functionality
