Tablet Two Questions

One, I love the tablet and use it everyday. Im a Masters student and love that I can upload pdf files to it instead of wasting paper and ink printing everything out and that I can get a lot of the books I need for class and highlight passages as well as make notes. My first question here is about the highlighting that I am doing. Will the notes and highlights transfer to the computer? If I highlight it through the Nook Mac program, it transfers but will it not do that with books that I bought online and had to use Adobe for? Second, does anyone elses email program open, remain active for 10 to 20 seconds and then crash? Im not getting the reload problem everyone else is (I did update the software) but the program itself will not stay open anymore.
