Emails Deleting Byself problem

Is anyone having email issues using on their KoBo Vox using the factory installed email client app?

The app works for sending and receiving emails, but the problem is that after a while the emails just delete themself from the In Box or Trash Bin, without me deleting them. Sometimes this takes a little while (day or several days), but all emails are deleted.

After getting Kobo Customer service help, I tried getting another email client app and found K-9. However, same problem.

Anyone have a solution to this very frustrating problem?

Thanks

It is not a real email program like you have on your pc. It just syncs a certain number of days each time from the server.

I never had any success configuring the Vox email app with my primary email address. I have no problems using any of my Gmail addresses with the Vox Gmail app and I can also access my primary email address the Vox browser and webmail.

Kobo Hopeful, is the email address you used used to configure the Vox app your primary email? If so, you should be able to access that mail using your ISP's webmail, either with the Vox or your PC. Have the disappeared emails also been deleted from the server? Anyone know if Kobo's email app deleted emails from the server when it downloads them. If so, that's a big problem if they also disappear from the Vox.

I use an Exchange and an IMAP account on my Vox, neither of these delete from the server when sending to the Vox

They only get deleted from the server when I delete them

The Exchange account (Gmail) is only set to keep emails for 5 days (think its 5, the default it gives), I still have the emails on the website and my mail app on my computer even though the Vox has removed them

My Rogers webmail on the Vox stays exactly the same as the one on my computer...nothing deletes itself, you have to delete them yourself either on the tablet or on the computer. This is using the Vox's email app.

I should amend that now. After two days of trying to use my webmail in the browser and being unable to log in for whatever reason, I had another go at setting up the Vox email and it worked! It's much more trouble-free and easier to use than webmail. If anyone has trouble setting it up, keep trying. It could be something as simple as a typo or checking/un-checking a box.
