How do I update Kindle for PC?
I have Kindle for PC version 1.4.1. I have the auto update box checked, but obviously it has never updated itself. All I get from Amazon are canned responses, and I can find no info on updating manually. Is it just a matter of downloading and installing the latest version, or are there gotchas?

I'm using Win7/64 on an HP laptop.

I would manually update, maybe there was a bad install which is preventing it from auto-updating itself.

Just go to Amazon's site and download the latest version of Kindle4PC and install it over the one you are using.

I finally got a human response from Amazon. It was nearly unreadable and had nothing to do with my question, but I now know all about deregistering, registering, etc. (I think.)

Finally, I just followed your advice and K4PC opened on the same page I was reading. So now I have v 1.8.3
