Update query
Hi,
I'm a new Calibre user.I have version 0.8.35 installed I downloaded and installed 0.8.37 but it still tells me it's version 0.8.35.Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you execute calibre-0.8.37.msi files and close current running calibre?
The version showed in bottom left of the calibre

Are you set to run from source (indicated by an asterisk against the version number displayed at the bottom left). If so this overrides the binaries.

I close the running program before installing.There isn't an asterix next to the version number.

Are you sure the file is 'calibre-0.8.37.msi' (assume you work with widndows os), and finish the installation, which at last open the calibre?

When I ran the installation again I selected to remove Calibre.I reinstalled it and started it up and it's the latest version 0.8.37.I also had the same problem when trying to go from o.8.35 to .36.Not sure why but I have the latest version now.I use Windows 7.
