shared backend database?

Hi,

I read here from time to time, that there are changes planned to the way, how calibre access the internal database, so that multiple calibre instances in the LAN can access simultaneously a central database.

is this still on or should I try to hack it as described here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...27&postcount=2 - with all the caveats?

No. I'm the only person working on it, so development proceeds in fits and starts as I find the time. If you want to follow development, you can use the the source control tracker: http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~kovid/c...rc/calibre/db/
