Factory default reset - Collections have no books in when restored?!
Had to do this as my Kindle 3 3G was behaving badly. Was disappointed that all my files were archived and my Collections preserved but no books in any Collections! Is there a quick way of moving them rather than labouriously transferring them in again?
Thanks |

Can only suggest that you take this opportunity to switch over to Calibre.
You can copy all the books you have into it and set Calibre up to create all your collections for you. |

Use Calibre, the Collections Plug-In, and the tools to remove DRM and your future eReading life will be much more stress free. No, there is no way to mass move books from Amazon to a device. For all their "You can store thousands of books on a device" literature, Amazon really seems to expect their users to only .... download one book, read a book, download another book, read a book Their system just isn't designed well to easily set-up or manage large libraries all at once. Calibre blows them out of the water in that. |

It takes the Kindle quite some time to index books when a large number of them are added at once. I suspect this is the reason that you are limited to transferring one at a time.

The Kindle Collections plug-in works nicely with the Kindle Keyboard. I'm a fan. If you get confused on that, the creator posts on that specific thread up in the Calibre forum and will answer your questions. |
