Can't copy more than two drm magazines

Is this an issue with calibre, or the fact that it's drm content - I CANNOT copy more than two drm amazon format magazine files to the kindle from calibre. I deleted them from the device/library, upgraded calibre to latest, even deleted the entire files in pref. directory and started over - adding files to library, and attempting to import to calibre.

EVERY TIME I attempt to copy the 4 2600 magazines to the kindle, just TWO get copied. If it's one at a time, it removes a prev. one, and replaces with one of the newly selected magazines! What gives? I've looked every where for a rule or something in calibre, can't see anything that looks like it's doing it.

The Kindle automatically moves older issues into the archive.
