Japanese title in Kobo store

Hi, I've been looking for hints that the Rakuten buyout might lead to greater Kobo support for Japanese-language books. (I'm currently studying Japanese, and could use a good excuse to purchase my first e-reader!) I was browsing the Kobo bookstore yesterday and noticed a new (to them) free title. I wonder if this is a sign of future developments?

It isn't well integrated into the website (can't easily search for it) but you can see it at 祖父の従軍日記. It's just a small item, with left-to-right text, but I'm hoping it's meaningful.

I paid for that book and now it is free! Ah well...

I too hope to see more Japanese titles but I am not sure they will bother to market them there as here aren't many Japanese readers in Canada and the US. I want to read 1Q84 and Kuroi Ame in Japanese but they are hard to find used as books and I can't find Japanese ebooks either. On the Vox I would love go get manga as well. Some Akutagawa et al classics would be great too. Akuma no pasuwado...
