I love my kindle but want the option of borrowing books from Canadian public library system too. American public libraries are not open to Canadian kindle owners as far as I am aware. That is why I got a Kobo.
I have not set up my Kobo yet. Before doing that, I need to know if either Kindle readers will be accommodated by Canadian libraries in the near future, or if Canadian kindle owners can borrow ebooks from American public libraries.

Well you could go the deDRM way but that isn't really legal, but if you delete them after three weeks I don't really think it's morally wrong.
I think you can borrow Kindle books from the states. But you would have to pay a yearly membership for a foreigners Library card, or something like that. |
