New member, and Kobo Touch user

Hi!
I got a new Kobo Touch for Christmas. It was what I wanted. It works pretty good, though I have problems with sideloading pdfs on micro-SD cards. But I'll save that for another thread, in an appropriate sub-forum.

I've already introduced myself, and am not sure how to "post" - I'm not replying to any previous posts, but can't seem to find a box that says "new post". I just received a long email with all the posts, but it was so long past when I first entered here I've gone on my own to try and figure out stuff about kobo. There are questions, but I cannot find out where to put them in here. I guess I'm dumber than most.

I've figured out what I need to know. But also figured out that I have been 'had' by Kobo.

Though Kobo sends emails daily touting new books to download, nowhere could I find out that EPUB books cannot be downloaded by Kobo Touch. The person who gave me the Kobo Touch wasn't informed that downloads were limited to that particular model, so I have an eReader on which I cannot read many (if not most of) the books offered by Kobo. Frankly, I think that is what my grandfather would call sharp practice to get me to buy a more expensive product. And if this post is in the wrong place, too, then I apologize.
