reinstalling Calibre

Hello, I'm in the throes of recovery from the loss of my primary HDD and I've not been able to access my Calibre Library. I've reinstalled the prog but it cannot find my books.
When I try to open "Books" I get an applet "Choose your calibre library"
It tells me where my library is located
Below this is a typing window with a drop down leading to where my books are.
All of the books are in the authors folders. In order for me to add the book it appears I have to open each author folder and then each title folder to select it for the library.
Please show me an easier way. Your help is greatly appreciated.

You want to point to the folder that contains ALL those folders (and metadata.db)
