Bill

I just received a Kindle Touch for Christmas and I think I may need alot of help to get it operating like it should. Kindle doesn't provide a user's manual upon purchase I guess so everything is just a shot in the dark.

Kindle Touch (not the 3G) just the Touch

I received a Kindle Touch for Christmas and I'm slowly figuring it out, since Kindle seems to think it's not necessary to provide a user's manual. My problem is deleting a book. I downloaded a book just to see if I was doing it correctly, and I was because I could call it up and read it. Now, however, I would like to completely and totally remove it from my Kindle and I can't seem to do it. I used the "delete" word next to the Book Title, but the book keeps appearing on my screen. Does anybody know how to get rid of this thing once and for all?

Perhaps you are viewing your archive (stored on the Amazon servers) rather than the books on your Kindle. All ebooks you buy through the Kindle ebook store are stored in your Amazon account, and can be re-downloaded to your Kindle.

It is possible to delete books from your Amazon archive, but only through the Manage Your Kindle section of the settings in your Amazon account.

I suggest you ask any other questions over in the Kindle forum.
