T1 - Book reverted to page one

I had read about 100 pages when I let the T1 go to sleep mode. Later I switched to wake up, and it had gone back to page 1.
Has anyone had this experience?. Perhaps it was something I did, but I can't imagine what.
I hadn't bookmarked either which made it worse.

Never happened to me, but most of the time I go back to the homescreen before I put the reader to sleep (at least if I plan to actually stop reading instead of just answering the phone or something). The T1 only saves the current position once you exit the book, so if you read 500 pages without going back to home and the reader app crashes you'll start at 1 again. I've also read about e-pubs that can drain the battery pretty fast if you leave the book open and put the reader to sleep.

Never happened to me with the T1 yet.

If it happens repeatedly, it might be a dameged filesystem. Formatting once more (save books first) or a hardware reset might help then.

Thanks for that information. In future I will go to Home. I am learning all the time with the T1.

It has only happened the once and it looks like it was probably the way I let the T1 go into the sleep mode.

This should not be an issue anyway. I let it go to sleep with a book open all the time and it never jumps back to page 1.

It hasn't happened again so I don't know what caused it. I normally just do as you say, and let it go to sleep with the book open.
