Can nook read UTF 16 format?
Hi All,
I enjoy reading in Nook. I want to read Tamil language books in Nook. I have lots of pdfs in Tamil . In which format I can read that . I converted to UTF16 (epub) but unable to read it on Nook. As I get junk characters instead of the right one. Any idea, how to convert tamil language pdf to read it on nook by epub conversion? Please help me to resolve this issue. Thanks, Kiruba |

Did you embed a font with those glyphs in the ePub. The default fonts in the nook do not have full unicode support.

Can you name few fonts that could work on nook. I have some success with html to epub which works fine on nook (embed with font SUNDARAM), but I have no success on converting a tamil pdf to epub; may I'm missing suitable font.

If you have the font correctly embedded in the EPUB, then the nooks will support the same font types (OTF and TTF) as ADE 1.8. On the nook, you will want to make make sure you have Publisher Defaults selected in the Text Options dialog, so that you are seeing your font instead of one of the default ones.
As for the font itself, I can't provide any concrete recommendations as to fonts, unfortunately I'm Tamil illiterate, so fonts covering Tamil are not something I've ever looked for. |

You may need to root your Nook and find an Android app for reading the Tamil language
Have a search for apps first before rooting your Nook ! |
