Hidden Talents, part of the "Hidden" series of "lurking supernatural creatures secretly have their own parallel shadow societies just like modern humanity" paranormal erotic romances by Emma Holly, is free courtesy of the Penguin-published author and AllRomance eBooks as their 12 Days of Christmas countdown selection for the 22nd.

This is a 5-flame f/m work, and the series appears to consist of standalone volumes you can read out of "order" (excepting the one tie-in short story which will thoroughly spoiler you in the opening excerpt for the entire outcome of the original; protip for aspiring authors: you don't really need to recap in that much detail).

Also, "wereseals" with their underwater kingdom? Aren't those usually called "selkies"?

I think I sense a new marketing trend ahead for rebranding classic shapeshifting creatures with newfangled explanatory names for those Gentle Readers not up on their mythology:

Sorry, the AllRomance Xmas countdown promotion is over.

However, the author does self-publish this book and its sequels on Smashwords, and sometimes during Read an e-Book Week in March, authors who have stuff on Smashwords give some of it away for free or issue sale coupons.

So perhaps you might want to check back then and see if she's doing a special offer to promote her books.
