Great job getting another update ready before Christmas. I'm sure a lot of people at Kobo were/are working around the clock to get it done on time.
If you don't mind me asking but what's new with this update? I assume entirely bug fixes. |

....practically er...what?
Quote:
Can you fill in the blanks, about the term; 'practically unusable'? I'm confused by this, because after I brought the Vox home on Oct 28,th and went through the prime update when setting it up, I had no experience that would have me tag the Vox as 'practically unusable'. I read, purchased and loaded books, I cruised the Internet. I filled in information masks and Google queries, connected with friends, family, watched full HD movies (until this latest firmware upgrade, my movies had a very slight stutter effect, using Mobo Player), etc. There were features and minor issues that needed to be fixed in an update to firmware, but never did it impede the INTENT of the tech. So again, please for the sake of my curiosity....what was your experience that culminated in a reference of 'practically unusable'??!?!? Last edited by Reader Paradice; 12-21-2011 at 01:21 PM. |

Well unusable means, almost every time I want to quickly read or surf I
Find myself having to restart my vox for 10 minutes, or even when not in use after two days the battery almost empty so I have to recharge instead of reading so ok when the vox it is running is very nice to use but I spent more time restarting and recharging, which is to bad. Updates are great but when you launch a product, why do early adaptors have to endure so big bugs. We are custumors and not beta testers. |
