eReader software available on Android/PC?

I'm looking for an eReader software that has an Android app & a PC one. I have a Nook Touch, & I want to root it, sync my books with dropbox, so that I can read them on my Nook, & then pick up wherever I left off on my phone/PC.. Does anyone know of an Android App that also has a PC one that can read the same metadata?

I hope this makes sense haha, I'm tired.. Thanks.

Kindle and Kobo can do this, as long as the books are in the right format. I read my kepub (kobo formatted drm ePUBs) on my phone, the Vox tablet, my Touch reader, and the PC desktop app. They all sync with each other.

You're referring to the books you purchased on Kobo only, correct? Not books purchased outside their ecosystem. I know Nook & Kindle also do this, I'm talking about my own collection, an android/pc app that can read the metadata.

If you are getting a regular connection to the internet, you could consider online ebook readers like Ibis Reader.

That way you don't need to sync anything and it will make no different what the reading device is. As long as it can connect to the internet, you can carry on reading from where you left off.

I think you can do that with Aldiko. But no matter which reader you select there will be formats they don't handle. As far as I know there is no device that handles all formats.
