Waffle Todos - a first ~app for the Touch

Hey gang. I've been somewhat out of the scene since making Savory for the Kindle 2 a couple years back.

I had a 7 hour plane flight today and started playing around with http://yifan.lu's Kindle Touch jailbreak.

I ended up putting together a first usable demo app for the touch:

Using the skeleton I've put together, it'd be pretty easy to do much more awesome stuff

Couldn't you just run this from the kindle browser without jail breaking or anything?

Thanks Jesse. My kindle touch is "in transit" from amazon. I am waiting (impatiently) to try your app.

This particular demo, yes - but have a look at the various items in /var/local/waf/ - a couple different choices in config.xml and use of some of the js libraries in /var/local/waf/shared/ should enable much more interesting stuff.

Yes, I tried the drawing app, but I think it would be cooler of we looked into the java stuff.

*nod* I do more Java than I'd like on the Android side of the world, but I'd love to see more people hacking Kindle Java.

Though I do have a sneaking suspicion that we'll see something like a switch to Cloud Reader in a future Kindle.
