Color Movies on SD

Hello,

I am new to the Nook Color forum. I just received my Nook Color as an early Christmas gift. I tried to side load my itunes movies and keep getting a message not that correct format. I would appreciate it if someone could please help me with information on side loading itunes movies.

Itunes movies are protected with Apple's DRM, and can only be played on Apple devices. If you want to play them on your Nook Color you will have to remove the DRM (no idea if that is possible), and perhaps convert them to another format.

If you want to watch movies on your NC you can use a program like DVD Catalyst to convert your DVD's to files that can be played on the NC.

Get Handbrake free program and convert them

I've used Daniusoft DRM Converter for the movies I got from iTunes. The program is $36 and takes a REALLY long time to convert, but it is possible. Haven't decided if it would have been cheaper to just buy the DVDs again and convert those. Guess it all depends on how many movies you're talking about.

I also use DVD Catalyst for DVDs, and I can't remember if I used it after removing the DRM. It was quite a while ago.

FYI - if it's a Disney movie, I didn't have any problem removing the DRM with DRM Converter, but using DVD Catalyst to convert, it's pretty much impossible (or maybe just extemely hard) to convert because Disney seems to throw in more than a hundred other files, and finding the right one is the problem.

You'll first have to remove the DRM from your itunes movies. If it's possible there is going to be an online guide somewhere. Google is your friend here.

After that, you'll have to convert them to the mp4 format, as well as make some modifications. With handbrake - a free open source converter - the entire setup takes about 15 seconds once you know what to change (see guide below). The conversion itself takes some time, but handbrake is among the speediest from a relative perspective.
