Wink Sony Prs T1

I am trying to buy an e reader for a Christmas present for My Granddaughter. I had about settled on the the Sony T1. I have a PRS 505 and I love it! Unfortunately, It was to simple for the techno crowd and they had to design something worse in order to stay in business.

I use ebooks that I download to my computer and manipulate them via Calibre and thats what I want for my granddaughter.

Unfortunately, I read somewhere that Calibre won't recognize the PRS T1. Is this true, and if it is has it been fixed yet? Also Is there a way to turn off the Wi-Fi? I guess I should have asked that last question in another forum, but if anyone knows please feel free to answer!
Thanks,
Paul

Calibre works fine with my PRS-T1; just make sure you're using the most recent version.

You can turn off the Wi-Fi easily in the settings menu; the status bar at the top will let you know whether it's on or off.
