Documents
I have some pdf files I want to put in to the wifi unit, but it I'm not having any luck. Where do I put these files, when I hook it up to my puter, I have several folders, which folder does it need to be to see a pdf file in Kobos documents. These are not books...
Thanks Roy |

It's been awhile since I put PDF files into the Kobo WiFi, but I believe I created a document folder in the root and just put them there. I don't know that a folder is actually needed, but it seemed neater

I don't think it has to be in the root does it? Mac users won't have the root viewable. dragged and dropped onto the Kobo (No folders or anything)

Well, they may not see it, but I'm guessing that when they drop it onto the Kobo, that is where it ends up. Finder doesn't display root? Who knew (said the windows gal).

I tried reading books PDF and page PDF on Kobo wifi and Kobo touch. IT is possible to read PDF book on wifi but because of slow processor and 5 way switch navigation around page I don't consider it very practical to view PDF. Kobo touch with faster processor and touch interface I can easily use it to read a book or look at a back and white document. But some PDF documents really need larger screen and color display.

Yes I agree, its just too small even for my purpose. Looks like I'm going to have to still use my notebook to view the pdf files I need for my business.
I was looking at an Archos 101. Thansk for all the help. Roy Last edited by Roy Von Rogers; 12-07-2011 at 05:34 PM. |

Android or Apple Tablet might be good enough for your portable PDF viewing even with a small screen because pinch zoom can quickly zoom in and back out much like using mouse wheel to zoom in and out on a PC. Would need to try before knowing if small screen is practical for your use.

It means you are clicking down a lot though so it's not very practical. But if you need to read a PDF, it can be done. |
