The Amazon's Curse, by Gena Showalter, is apparently an "e-book exclusive" novella in her paranormal romance Atlantis series, free courtesy of publisher Harlequin.

Currently free @ B&N. Since this looks like one of those temp-freebie promo tie-ins that Harlequin likes to offer, it'll probably show up in the other stores at some point.

Oooooh! My favorite type of EPUB - the ones with a hard-coded font that presumes either I'm 10 years old & hold the screen 6" from my eyes or that I read on a 50" tv (which, although I could do, I don't as it can be embarassing when family members keep snooping on what you are reading).

at least with EPUB's it's easy enough to simply delete the CSS file and be done with it (yes, I'm sure that removes "something", but it apparently isn't anything anyone really misses on a novel and it solves many, many bad publishing choices).

Now finally dropped to free @ Amazon (available to Canadians). Let's see how squinty and not-easily-fixable the Mobi version is, considering that they probably converted it from the ePub and Mobi has no such easily deletable niceties as a CSS file for the poor font choices.

Still free at B&N and Kobo, but back up in price at Sony.
