calibre cannot send PDF to my iPad
Dear All,
I have read "Calibre + Apple iDevices: Start here", but I still have problem when I went to send PDF to my iPad. I always get a error msg like this : calibre, version 0.8.28 ERROR: Error: Error communicating with device not a ZIP .epub OCF container Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 81, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 405, in _upload_books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\apple\driver.py", line 1095, in upload_books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\apple\driver.py", line 1309, in _add_new_copy File "site-packages\calibre\devices\apple\driver.py", line 2704, in _update_epub_metadata File "site-packages\calibre\ebooks\metadata\epub.py", line 205, in set_metadata File "site-packages\calibre\ebooks\metadata\epub.py", line 111, in __init__ EPubException: not a ZIP .epub OCF container I think this msg means calibre try to convert my PDF to ePUB, but I don't want to convert, I want to send PDF to my iPad, I tried "send specified format" and select PDF, it still give me this msg. Can anyone help me with this issue ? THX ! |

I am not convinced that the error is because Calibre is trying to convert the PDF to ePub!
Have you checked what formats you have allowed under Preferemces->Plugins->Device Interface Plugins->Apple Device Interface->Customize. Check that you have PDF set as an allowed format. |

I've had the same problem earlier, then I downgraded to 0.8.26 and everything was fixed.
