I need help emailing book from Calibre

I already have a gmail account and set up the account in Calibre this evening but it still keeps failing on all the test emails.

I am running the newest version on Windows Vista. I am even launching Calibre as an administrator. I was using a personal email address (not based on gmail) for the test message. Here is the error message/log I keep getting:

According to that error message youhave not told calibre to use gmail. Click the Use Gmail button in the calibre email settings.

I re-entered the info in that Use Gmail screen. Hit OK. Then hit the test email and got this error message:

This time there was nothing after the "Log:"

Now it looks like you have something preventing calibre from sending email. Probably an antivirus program. Add an exclusion for calibre.

Thanks you very much. I went through my Avast anti-virus options one by one and the real-time mail shield is what is blocking it. Will have to go through the documentation on that program to see if I can add some sort of exclusion for Calibre.
