Sluggish typing appears to be entirely in the UI
I have experimented, and withhout fail, I can type as fast as my thumbs can take me on the vox, and then watch the typing generate up to a few minutes after I am finished. Now that I have gotten used to not relying on the UI, the typing is actually blisteringly fast.
