PRS-T1 SDHC - Activity Light

Just thought I'd ask

Has anybody noticed the Activity Light next to the SDHC card slot ?

Could somebody please tell me what the design thinking around its placement is as it can't be seen when the cover is closed ! and as such serves no useful purpose.

It doesn't make a difference that it's under the cover since the sole purpose is to make sure you don't pull the card out when the light is lite.
