Kingston 8 GB microSD card now in place
...and glad to report that upon turning on the Vox, it found, mounted and shows a usable storage space of 7.45 GB.
Cool....place for the movies, music..and anything else including the kitchen sink, LOL! Seriously though, the Kingston brand 8 GB microSD card installed without a hitch and works with the Vox. I used a piece of black electrical tape to cover up and protect the SD port and it blends in nicely with the black backing ( that is,...if you chose the Jet Black body) to be almost invisible. No dirt ingress. Case solved. |

I guess that Kobo felt everybody had a roll in a drawer somewhere...so no need for a microSD port cover...sheesh...

Lower left side on the Vox...there is a microSD access port. Make sure the gold finger tabs on the microSD card are facing down when you gently insert it into the Vox. Press in, until the edge of the card is flush with the edge of the Vox. Put a small square flap of electrical tape over the port and you are done.
If you need to remove the microSD card, you then merely, gently, push in on the card body, and the microSD card will eject half its length out of the port. Pull out to remove. You can find a good price for an 8 GB card practically anywhere (good GB bang-for-the-buck) at this capacity. You'd have to load up quite a bit to need to go past this value price point. |

Oh, I thought you meant internally. I've used that Micro SD port lots. It sees a 16 Gb Kingston Micro SD card just fine.
