0.8.27 gives error on conversion

Just updated my source to 0.8.27.
compilation goes smooth as usual but when i tried to convert a book from epub to txt and epub to epub i get the following error which does not happen when i revert back to 0.8.26:

calibre, version 0.8.27
ERROR: Conversion Error: <b>Failed</b>: Convert book 1 of 1 (The Cutting)

Kovid fixed that bug in a new upload of 0.8.27.

Try to download it again.

I just downloaded the updated 8.0.27 as suggested but I'm still getting the conversion error as stated above.

The source package was not updated, only the binaries. I never change source once it has been uploaded. You will have to wait for 0.8.28 for the fix (or just turn off the insert metadata feature in conversion)
