Kobo for PC

Hi
Is anyone else having a problem with Kobo Desktop? I'm on version 2.0.30 and Win 7, its always worked perfectly in the past but tonight when I open it I get

If I try and clik to sign out it just spins its wheels and then crashes

I've restarted the pc but it made no difference not sure what to do to rectify it
Thanks
Mel

Might want to uninstall and then download the client again from http://download.kobobooks.com/deskto.../kobosetup.exe - 2.1.3 works fine here (Win7, 64-bit).

Wow.... I have that going on with my Sony PRS350.

No problem with my Kobo desktop, though.

Ok I have a Sony not a Kobo and I can download the acsm link and load it through my Sony reader software no probs, but I also used to have the Kobo PC app it would sync with the store list all my kobo books with their covers and I could open them to read the books on my pc if I wanted to.

But then the software stopped working so I went to http://www.kobobooks.com/ereadingapp and downloaded the Desktop app which states it's for reading on you laptop or PC however it leads you to the same file linked by JD Gumy above and when you install it, it insists you connect you kobo during the install and won't let you continue untill you do?

Confused here does the kobo store no longer have a standalone desktop app

I thought you had the option during setup to skip the device setup. I just tried on a VMware Windows 7 image and had no problems at all! I used the link http://download.kobobooks.com/deskto.../kobosetup.exe which gave me 2.1.3

No prompt at all to do device setup; it just prompted me to either create an account OR signin with an existing account.

Currently it's happily download all my books!

Do you happen to have any USB devices drives attached while doing this? I have none attached at this time.

Thanks just got it working, it needed a reboot between uninstalling the old version and installing the new. Before doing that it would not work it kept insisting I connect my Kobo ereader which I don't and never have had
