Pump up the volume
Is there a way to increase the max volume on the Vox? Even with noise reduction headphones, I find it difficult to hear properly when I watch a video or movie? Sure, that's not the main concern with an e-reader but I also appreciate the 7' screen to view movies instead of using my iPodTouch.

You can buy earphones with amplifier powered by AA cells. Kids buy them to blow out their hearing listening to music or video games.

Maybe its your Vox?, I find the sound perfect, if I use headphones it's almost to loud for music when I turn it all the way up
