New Forum for Nook Tablet?

Yes, let's fragment this forum even more... I personally think that all android-based tablets should be put under the android forum, no matter the brand...

If I were to ask a question about the difference the Samsung 7.7, the Fire, the new Nook and the Vox, where do I ask it?

I totally agree. Unfortunately, that request gets shot down every time it's suggested.

I think the Android forum is the "Android, other devices" place. As a Kobo Touch, WiFi, and now Vox owner, I appreciate having the Vox as a subforum of Kobo.

I like the sub-forums for the store branded tablets. I think this applies more when the devices aren't rooted. You can't just throw them in the Android forum.

If you can create a sub-forum in the store forum, you can create a sub-forum on the general forum as well... I don't see the problem.

As I said, this forum is getting too fragmented. Data is not getting read because people are posting/reading in the wrong forum. As I posted earlier, where would I post a thread comparing the three store-based 7" tablets with a "generic' 7" tablet?

It's a question of where people will expect to look for information. Someone who's not knowledgable about computers and who buys a Kindle Fire or a Kobo Vox may very well never have heard of "Android"; they will naturally go to the Amazon or the Kobo forum to ask questions about their device. That's the reason the forum is arranged the way it is. It's not an arbitrary whim.

Plus, these special store tablets (at least in the case of the Nook Color/Tablet and the Kindle Fire) run customized / non-standard versions of Android, as opposed to tablets all running standard Android with standard Google apps/market/etc.
