Library and Device have the same books, but they don't say so!
Weird one this, maybe I am doing something stupid.
I've copied all of my books from my device to my Mac, and they area all sat in the library, but the 'on device' column isn't ticked. On the Device screen, 'in library' isn't ticked. Anyone know any reason why this would be? |

BTW It may take some time, the first time (Calibre creates a file on your device the first time it connects) to poll your devices books for metadata. ![]() |

Thanks for the reply.
I was selecting them on the 'My Device' screen and then right clicking to get the 'copy to library'. Maybe I've screwed up the Calibre metadata, I might delete it and try again. |

Cheers guys. Didn't work until I deleted the metadata and started again, all in tip top shape now. Had my Kindle stolen and it took ages to download all my purchases from Amazon, need to keep the books backed up in case something happens again

Given that books on your Kindle are generally DRM-locked to the specific device, you might want to visit Apprentice Alf and then re-do the copy into Calibre.
