Epubpreflight?
I know this is probably a dumb question, but why do I need to validate using epub preflight as well as epubcheck?
And at the moment I'm using pdurrant's wonderful epubcheck droplet. Is there anything similar for epub preflight? I break out in hives whenever I use Terminal. Also, though - when I download "preflight" from this page, the readme talks about epubcheck and not preflight. Am I missing something? Is preflight already rolled into the latest version of epubcheck? Last edited by gdgibson; 10-27-2011 at 03:16 PM. |

Actually, using FlightCrew is easier then ePubCheck as you get error messages that are more in English then geek.
As for preflight, never heard of it. |

I find epubcheck's information to be pretty useful. Maybe that makes me a geek? (Ha ha.)
But I'm concerned with preflight because the iBookstore publisher guide suggests validating via the Threepress site, and Threepress mentions epubpreflight on their validation page. I'll do a little more digging, I guess. |
