Upgrading and returning a kindle question

I'm thinking of returning my k3 wifi for the k3 with 3g If i deregister it will it automatically remove all content or should I hook it up to the computer and do this manually?

Its only 50$ more for the 3G so I figure why not and I've had the k3 for two weeks approximately and I know I want to stay with kindle but I think the 3g would be more convenient. But I've also heard rumors that 3g is going away??

I imagine they'll just factory wipe it anyhow. But, I would probably wipe everything off of it myself just to be sure.

LOL i miscalculated the difference in cost so I think I'm just going to keep the one i have now but thanks for answering my questions

The WiFi is lighter then the 3G one. I would stay with it unless you travel alot and don't have access. Also with the 3G every time you send yourself a document you get an annoying personal document is waiting for you message downloaded to your kindle. Even if you connected via WiFi you still get them. Also 3G is by AT&T so if you live where I do you get a really bad signal. I live in Verizon country and have a very weak 3G on the Kindle sometimes you have to move through the house or it drops off.

I think you are spot on and I decided to go ahead and keep the K3 I already have. I love it so much.
