I noticed that each time Calibre converts books to the Mobi format it adds the version number to the author's name in the Creator metadata.
While having the version number probably helps with debugging, I'd rather only have the name of the author as the Creator. Is it possible to exclude the version number information from being written to the metadata? |

calibre sets its name and version info in the contributir field not the author field. And no, that cannot be suppressed short of editing the calibre source code.
