Who's Getting the Kindle Touch?

It seems like all the attention has been on the Fire, but I've been looking for a reason to pass my K2 off on my brother and get an upgrade, and the Touch 3G should do the trick.

Anyone out there foregoing the flashy Fire and grabbing the Kindle Touch?

I'd like to, but I think I'm going to hold off. I want to see how it handles PDFs first.

I was checking out the Sony T1, last night on YouTube.

I will wait for reviews on the touch.

No interest in fire. I think there will be better options. Why get a sort of android tablet and hope to root it when you can for about the same price get a full function android tablet with Sd slot, hdmi, etc.

I'm hoping to get the $99 Kindle Touch w/ ad support, but I want to find a good lighted case for it. I don't really like the four colors currently being offered by Amazon.

Hubby is interested in the Fire, so we'll probably order both at the same time.

Yep, I ordered a SO Touch, and the green lighted case.

I really like the touchscreen on my Sony, especially for dictionary lookup.

Have 2 k3's and a 1st gen kindle, have pre-ordered the Touch to replace the oldest 1st Gen.

I may be getting one. I decided to hold off on the T1 as it seems they are crashing and very unstable.

so I will wait to see the reviews on the KT before making my final decision but for now my K4 will do.

Mine's on order. I tried the Nook touch while shopping for wife's present. Liked it better than K3, but since we have Amazon acct., didn't buy it. Is it the "best of both worlds"?

I went to Best Buy today. They had a Kindle 4 in the box. No display yet. So I didn't get to play

I did get to play with a tablet of some sort (I think it was a motorola) and that was fun! I enjoyed the touch interface (but not the gloss and fingerprints.).

There's a full-function android tablet with sd slot AND hdmi for 199? I'd like to see such a windfall.

I use a stylus a lot. It works with IR or capacitive touch screens.

And there are people that make touchscreen gloves, e.g.: http://www.agloves.com/ Seems like someone must make 'sheaths' that you can put on your fingertips, i.e. touchscreen thimbles. Fingerprints on Kindle Touch will not be an issue on Kindle Touch for most people, but Fire is another matter.
