PRS-650 Sony firmware update

I've had my PRS-650 for probably about a year. I have a number of books stored on a memory card in the reader.

I was having the occasional glitch in reading a book - the reader would suddenly go back to the title page, or the reader's home page. Usually I could get back to where I was easily, sometimes it was more difficult. This would happen several times a week and of course was annoying.

When Sony quietly announced the updated firmware I read the notes but it did not seem the update would do anything for me so I did not install it. But then I got to thinking about it and decided that Sony would be unlikely to acknowledge that there might have been bugs that the firmware upgrade would fix. So about 6 weeks ago I installed the update.

And it did fix my problems! I have been waiting to see if they would recur, but since the upgrade the performance has been flawless.

So, I do recommend the latest firmware upgrade for the PRRS-650 if you are having any issues. It worked for me...
