B&N lists a free new book every Friday.
I have never read Deon Mayer but this sounds interesting. If this one is good I will be reading his other works.

You have to have a B&N account to get the books, and even if they are free, they require a credit card on your account to get the books.

The credit card and your name are embedded into the DRM on the book and are required to open it or <<perform other actions>>, if the app/device is not logged into your B&N account. It has to be a real CC, also, as B&N will run a one penny authorization against it, to verify it exists, when they run the sale on the book.
