Library lending for the Kindle seems a little closer - just noticed this while doing an Overdrive search:

If you go to the "Device Resource Center", it lists all Kindles as devices that are "compatible with OverDrive EPUB eBooks". I must have missed the discussion on this.

Like this. The Seattle Public Library shows 28,973 ebooks in its collection. When you click on the Kindle link, only 22,480 ebooks are available. Does that mean 6,493 ebooks can't be downloaded to the Kindle?

Yep, and I was also able to access the book on my Nook Color through the Kindle app.

Yes
  • login to your Amazon account
  • go to Your Account
  • scroll down to Digital Content
  • click Manage Your Kindle
  • Your Kindle Library pops up
  • checked out books have a bold, orange public library after the title
  • find the book you want and click on the Actions box to the far right
  • select Return this book
  • Are you sure you want to return this Library Loan Ebook? Yes--No
That's it; nice and easy. If you do this often, you should probably bookmark Manage Your Kindle.

The other day my library listed Amazon Kindle as Beta. Today it doesn't list Amazon Kindle at all.

Weird. It doesn't list them in devices, but when you click on a book it is available for Kindle. Maybe because not all books are available for Kindle.
