UK ebook pricing ?
How much should this influence my choice of e book readers. I am stuck between the new Sony PRST1 and a Kindle but as really like touch screen I think the Sony comes out on top. However, on the few I have checked, Amazon ebooks do appear to be much lower in price and just wondered if users here considered it enough to edge the Kindle forward?

You can always buy at the Kindle store, liberate* them and then convert them with calibre (which does a very good job on Mobipocket/Kindle->ePub). It's actually a remarkable straight-forward process at the moment.
N.B. Liberating your ebooks may be illegal where you live. * i.e. remove the DRM from them so that calibre can convert them. Apprentice Alf can help with this. Google for his blog. |
