Can anyone suggest a good fiction book on Anglo-Indians during the Raj and post Raj?
Hi everyone,
I've searched the web to no avail. I'm specifically looking for fiction books about Anglo-Indians during the Raj and post Raj. More specifically a fiction ebook as I have a Kindle and Ipad (I don't need a physical book because I like the ebook experience). Regards William |

Try the Flashman series by George MacDonald Fraser. They're very accurate historical fiction and very funny reads. Many of them take place in India during the Raj

A really interesting epic set during that time is "The Far Pavilions" by M. M. Kaye. It traces the life of a boy (later man) whose English parents died unexpectedly and who was adopted and raised as a Hindu by his nanny to protect him at the time of the Sepoy Uprising.

Bhowani Junction - fits the bill exactly I think, and a real barrier buster for it's time.
