Box in Sigil

I've been trying to make box in Sigil by using stylesheet.
using Adobe Digital Edition, I can view the box properly. However, when I view the ebook using ibook, the box can't be view properly. The alignment is still off eventhough I hv made modification to the code. This is the code that I use:

width:200px;
padding:10px;
text-align:center;
border:3px solid black;
margin:0;
}

is there a problem with the code? why viewing in Adode digital edition and ibook have different?

I don't know about i-thingies, but you might have to use a left Margin to mimic centering. (like you have to do with ADE and a fractional HR)

What alignment do you mean? The text-align is to center the contents of the box, not the box itself. For centering the box, use margin:auto.

... and don't be surprised if it doesn't work, ADE treats "auto" as "0" (which is annoying, but allowed by the spec).

Try wrapping the div that defines the box in an outer container that defines its alignment. As theducks mentioned, you can align the box itself by using % measures on the width and margin-left properties in tandem.

As you work with iBooks, expect things to render differently. iBooks may look nice, but is not know for following specs. For now, ADE is follows the specs the closest, but not perfect.
