Finally bought a Sony!

A few months ago, I posted about whether or not to get a Sony or a Nook. Initially, I bought a nook classic. It served my needs initially but I admit that after a while I got tired of reading on it and was back to reading mostly paper books. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I decided to buy another e-reader, this time a touch one. I initially bought a Nook STR. Well, I went across the street to a closing Borders and saw the Sony 350 for $89.99. I could not resist! Finally, my chance to get the Sony I wanted for a low price! So I brought the Sony and returned the unopened Nook STR.

I love my Sony! It's so light and I love reading on it. The text really is very crisp. The collections are nice too. Highlighting and looking up words is so much easier on the Sony. I love finally having an e-reader that I can hold in my hand comfortably for an extended period of time.

As for the nook classic, I gave it to my mom. She is going to auction it off in the fall to help raise money for a Sunday school program. So, it will hopefully go to a loving new home.

ETA: If a mod sees this, could you change "brought" to "bought" in the title? Thanks!

I'm glad you like your 350, faithbw. I have the pink one and like it very much. It's very nice of you to give away your Nook Classic for a good cause.

You "bought" it, you mean. If you "brought" it then you would be bringing it somewhere.

Damn it I can't believe this was my first post, but I got distracted by the title on the way to the Nook section.

Hi everyone.

Congratulations. I love my Sony 350. I won a Nook Touch or Kindle3 in a raffle but gave the option to my sister-in-law. I have a Kindle & Nook Classic & have tried the Nook Touch. I really prefer my little 350 to all of them.

My 950 seems to go 3 weeks to a month, with WiFi off. I'm pleased with the battery life, it's just fine. And I read a lot.

I haven't had my Sony for long (~1 month) but the battery life is great! It's much better than the classic nook I had previously. The battery hasn't gone dead on me yet. The lowest I have gotten is three bars but if I sync a new book to it, I usually just leave it connected to my computer until it is full again. I say that it takes about a week for it to get to three bars.
