view html (offline page)
Hi,
I downloaded an entire webpage in order to view it offline. I transfered to the Sony ereader 950 and I couldn't see the .html files. I read that 950 has support for html. Is this support only for webpages through the web browser? If not. How can I see the offline pages in the 950? Can I "follow" links in the offline pages as in a normal PC (File:\\\... etc)? Thanks and best regards. |

Well, file:// could work.
Root of internal memory is /Data. You can't access SD/MS cards that way. Another thought, why don't convert it to epub, which is essentially bunch of html + tiny bit of metadata? |

You should import it into Calibre then convert it to ePub. My 650 won't see .html files you simply copy or transfer using the Reader program, and I suspect the 950 would act the same way.

Hi,
When I tried to import the index page to calibre, the program tells me that there's and error and nothing happens. It's a wikipedia-like web page so could the several loops ( link to A -> link to B -> link to A) the problem for this type of page? Best regards. |

The links wouldn't cause that.
You should be able to click on "More info" (or similar button, don't remember) and see the actual error output. You'll see a list of errors, and what you want to look at is the very bottom or last error, which is the one that sets off the chain of other errors. |
