Amazon's website redesign is tablet friendly
Gone are the blue and orange navigation bars, replaced by bigger buttons and less clutter. Simpler is usually better, but this will be a tough change.

wonder if the video is going to also move away from Flash and over to HTML5? It is not as if they don't want iPad user money and there are plenty of those out there ripe for the poaching.

Same. I had it back around late August and a few days ago, it went back to the old site. Maybe Amazon will add their signature blue/orange skin once they've finished the skeleton.

It looked pretty generic, but I did like the new Cart mouseover - hover over the shopping cart symbol (no "Cart" button) and a drop-down shows you the first 5 items in your cart including their product pictures.

How do the mouseover bits work with a tablet? Typically, sites which require mouseovers are the opposite of tablet-friendly (until we have "finger over" technology I guess).
