kobo usable in Qatar?
Two (probably) dumb questions. If I order a Kobo Touch from the US, will there be any problem setting it up and using it here in Qatar, and can I buy Kobo books? I see that Kobo ebooks can be paid for with Paypal, so presumably that won't be a problem. (To buy books for a Kindle here, the reader has to be set up with a proxy address). Thanks, folks.

In essence, all you need is a sufficiently fast WiFi at home or anywhere else and you should be ready to go. As the reader has to establish a connection with the server in North America, synchronization and downloads may take a little longer, but not significantly enough to trouble me. |

It should work quite nice. There are now even German and French books available on kobo, although I would wish that they clean up their user settings so that a user can filter the books that are displayed when the user does a search. Listing all the other language books together with English makes the search unnecessarily cumbersome. The kobo hardware may not be quite as easy to use as the kindle 3, but I like they way the kobo presents chapters and paragraphs much better than the kindle. I also note that kobo is constantly working at improving their product and like that. Hope you will enjoy your kobo... Last edited by beluga; 09-23-2011 at 01:56 AM. |

Does Kobo really support Arabic? In menu and within the book? that'd be a surprise for me...
